Crosslands Church Community Meal

Crosslands Church in Newmarket runs a weekly Community Meal that reaches out to the community by creating a warm and friendly environment for guests in need to assemble and share a meal together. A nutritious meal is served, hot coffee is available, people are made to feel welcome, and laughter is heard. The Community Meal is completely hosted by a team of dedicated volunteers whose love for their work is evident every week. They rely totally on volunteer cooks from all parts of the community and the generous donations from local vendors.

Hellenic Ministries

Hellenic Ministries produces a TV show that shares the Gospel with a wide audience. The program is called “Zontas Pragmatika” which means “Truly Living”. Airing on local channels in Greece’s main cities, in Melbourne, Australia, as well as across Canada on “Odyssey”, they’ve seen a wide response as people call in after every show. This point of contact serves to connect viewers with local churches, and send them Bibles in modern Greek.

Northern Canada Evangelical Mission

Northern Canada Evangelical Mission (NCEM) is an interdenominational faith organisation seeking to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Native peoples of Canada. Organised in 1946, they currently have a membership of about 90 full-time missionaries (plus associate, honorary, and Governing Board members) on about 20 stations across the country and in specialised ministries. By faith, their vision is to establish strong indigenous multiplying churches.

Prison Fellowship Canada

Prison Fellowship Canada’s mandate is to meet people who have committed crimes or who are impacted by crime – families of prisoners or victims of crime – wherever they are in their journey, to facilitate reconciliation and the freedom that it brings. Whether a person is a prisoner, ex-prisoner, a child of an incarcerated parent, or the greater community including victims, they recognise that the effects of crime are far reaching. They also recognise that God’s unconditional love, grace and mercy reaches even further and to each and every one of us.

The Greatest Journey is a 12-lesson discipleship course designed for Operation Christmas Child shoebox recipients. Children who participate in the program learn how to follow Christ and share Him with others. As they do, entire families and communities are transformed by the power of the Gospel, and churches are started. More than 40.5 million children have enrolled in The Greatest Journey since 2009.

The Scott Mission is a Christian ministry of mercy and love in Toronto whose mission is to meet the needs of people with love and compassion and seek to bring spiritual, physical, and emotional wholeness to their lives. The Mission is privately funded and employs over 160 dedicated staff at 502 Spadina, their Welcome Centre and Men’s Shelter at 346 Spadina, their Family Centre in East York, the Collingwood Retreat Centre, and their Summer Camp in Caledon. Their various ministries offer support and provisions for the homeless, low-income families, and children and youth.

Set My People Free is a nonviolent movement seeking freedom, justice, and equality for converts reconciliation – not victory, and is committed to the life and teaching of Jesus Christ.

TLC The Life Centre is a faith-based, safe, caring environment that provides support and education to women and families facing challenging life issues – relationship, family, marital, unplanned pregnancy, and abortion stress. Through confidential, private Psychotherapy and Life Coaching sessions, TLC helps clients overcome issues (anger, anxiety, fear, guilt, depression, resentment, low self-esteem), develop healthy boundaries, and set goals. TLC helps meet practical needs through Sister’s Care Closet, diapers, and free pregnancy tests.

Wycliffe Bible Translators Canada

Of the 7,388 languages in the world, only 10% have the complete Bible translated, only 37% have portions of the Bible translated, and 54% are without a single Bible verse translated. Wycliffe Bible Translators mission is ending Bible poverty by facilitating the translation of God’s Word among minority language communities worldwide. Their vision is a world where translated Scriptures lead to transformed lives among people of all languages.
